Creating a Culture for Rigorous Learning, Part 2

April 17, 2018  |  8:30 am – 3:30 pm  |   $300 for Non-Members

Our professional development is designed to be rich, customized and challenging in order to best assist educators, thus strengthening the potential of our region.

To create a culture focused on increasing rigor, relevance and relationships, all stakeholders must be engaged and have a clear vision for their unique school’s DNA. This interactive, one-day course will engage leaders in the key elements of organizational leadership needed to create a culture focused on the needs of students. Key elements include creating a culture focused on high expectations, establishing a clear vision, and building leadership capacity through an empowerment model. Effective leadership is about being adaptive, focusing on the process of learning, and monitoring progress toward a clear vision. Focus will be on the Rigor and Relevance Framework.

Equity Problem of Practice:

What is the impact on student engagement and underachievement when the system denies students of color access to rigorous tasks and coursework?
